Downtown Brand Ambassador

Compensation: Competitive Base Pay + Commission + Performance Bonuses
Role Overview
We are seeking an energetic, professional, and well-spoken Downtown Ambassador to bridge the gap between our wilderness experiences and the downtown hospitality hub. This role is ideal for college students majoring in Tourism, Marketing, PR, or Sales who want hands-on experience in "B2B" (business-to-business) relations and high-level customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Face-to-Face Networking: Visit the Visit Anchorage Information Centers and cruise ship reseller desks to provide updates on tour availability and build rapport with staff.
* Concierge Relations: Act as a dedicated liaison for Major Downtown Hotels. You will ensure Front Desk and Concierge staff have the materials and knowledge they need to refer guests to our Wilderness, Wildlife, and Glacier experiences.
* Outbound Promotion: Conduct daily "walk-throughs" of downtown storefronts and partner locations to distribute marketing materials and generate word-of-mouth buzz.
* Lead Generation: Identify and report potential group sale inquiries and track referrals coming from Visit Anchorage and other downtown partners.
* Brand Representation: Maintain a professional image while serving as the primary point of contact for downtown tourism influencers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Major/Field of Study: Hospitality, Tourism Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or Student Government.
* Communication Skills: Natural "people person" with the ability to walk into a professional environment and start a conversation.
* Reliability: Disciplined enough to manage a 2-hour daily "route" independently.
* Local Knowledge: A passion for Anchorage and the surrounding Alaskan wilderness.
